She had a bridal shower afew weeks ago, I wasn't able to attend. This weekend she is going to have a bachelorette party (which I have to BYOB, AND pay to get into, only $10,but still) and the wedding is next week. Do I have to take a present to each one?? If yes..what should I bring to the Bachelorette party?Bachelorette party is at a private rented hall, with Dj,strippers,.dancing,etc...

You don't need to get a gift to the Bacherlorette Party. The party is just to celebrate her upcoming marriage with good drinks, food and friends. It's not a gift type of occasion. Have fun!

Wow, it's amazing how getting married has spawned not one, not two, but three gift giving occasions for some brides. If you worry that others will bring a gift to the bachelorette party and you'll look bad if you don't, this is the perfect time to bring an inexpensive gag gift--whorish panties, a porn novel, fishnet stockings, or the opposite, white granny panties, a religious CD, etc.

If it were me . . . I would take a gift to the wedding. I would BYOB, pay the $10, and give bride a pair of panties at the bachelorette party.I would skip the bridal shower gift, as I was unable to attend.

Not at all. A bachelorette party is just a "girls night out" where guests have fun and make sure the bride doesn't pay for her own drinks. Too bad you had to miss her shower. If she is a "good friend", you might want to drop off a little kitchen-type gift to her prior to the wedding with a "sorry I missed the shower" note - something like salt and pepper shakers, tea towels, bubble baths, etc. Just go and enjoy the bachelorette party, though, and save the $$ for the wedding gift.

Nope, no gift. The only two occasions for gift-giving for a wedding are the bridal shower and the wedding itself. You don't bring a gift to the engagement party or the bachelorette. If you're going out to a bar for the bachelorette then it's traditional to buy the bride a drink or a shot. It sounds like you're going somewhere that isn't a bar, if you have to BYOB, so no worries on that front. You didn't go to the shower, so a gift isn't required for that. Just do a wedding gift and be done with it.

I would give a small gift like panties or maybe massage oils or something at the bachelorette party, and then a larger (more expensive) gift for the actual wedding.

Most people do not bring presents to a bachelorette party. Usually the people at that attend the bachelorette party will buy the bride to be her drinks, but you don't even have to do that if you don't want to.

gifts are only for the bridal shower and for the wedding. no need to get one for the bachelorette party. proper etiquette says that even if you are unable to attend the shower or wedding, you should still give a gift. when i was a bride alot of people coudln't make it to the shower and i totally did not expect a gift from them though!
