| A bridal shower is the party thrown in anticipation of an upcoming wedding.The party after a wedding ceremony to celebrate is a reception.Hope that helps. |

| I assume you are talking about a party that everyone is invited to...not just the women? I would call it an engagement party, or if it's right before the wedding maybe a "Pre-Wedding Party" or a "Send-off into Marriage"...hope that helps!! |
