I am in desperate need of a photographer.....I am less than a month away from marrying my best friend of 13 years and after many unfortunate circumstances that include our original photographer shutting up shop with our money and a medical stay for my son and a few others we find ourselves in deperate need for a photographer for our wedding ceremony only I will use disposable cameras for the reception. If anyone is able to help us out by volunteering their services or if anyone knows of an advanced student who would like to do it to build up a portfolio or if anyone knows of a studio or freelancer who will work with us for payment even after the wedding and keep the pictures till paid in full please let me know....I'm not one to ask for a hand out but at this point any extra money i had is gone due to everything.. Desperately hoping for a miracle......Sorry...Just realized I should mention I live in Lakemoor IL on the McHenry border

Well, it would help if I knew where you lived. Email at laurenchildre@gmail.com and I can show you a way to find one in your area.

Yeah it will be easier to help you if we knew where you lived. I'd even be willing to work for you, and I'm a wedding photographer in the so cal area. We can help you out. At least contact us if interested.Since you updated your location now someone might be able to respond better. However you are a bit of a ways away for me to help you. Sorry about that. Good luck.

Sorry, I would help but you are too far away. Try the craigslist in your area. There are always new photographers there hoping to build a portfolio. Now a word about using disposacams for the reception: A better plan would be to ask all your friends and family to use their own cameras liberally, and burn their images to a CD for you to pick and print. With disposables, you are bound to get many goof-off shots, shots of fingers in front of the lens, shots with no flash, from 40 feet away or 4 inches away, kids playing, etc etc etc. You will be lucky to get one or two usable prints per camera and the rest will be wasted. Better to ask people to use their own. If you have a family shutterbug, ask them to capture the most important things, the cake cutting, toast, whatever special events you have planned.Good luck on your wedding, hope you find a fabulous photographer!
