| My sister-in-law who is Mormon is getting married soon and my mother in law would like to by her a tasteful nightgown for the wedding night. We were not sure if this is appropriate. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks. |

| Lingerie is totall appropriate for the wedding night. With your spouse anything goes as long as both are comfortable with it. |

| Not from what I understand. One of my close high school friends converted to Mormonism in college. The day before her wedding, I asked her if she had stuff for the honeymoon, like lingerlie and such. She said "not really'. I suggested an immediate trip to the mall, with my credit card, as a gift. She turned me down, politely. She said that she had already ordered brand-new, sparkling white Mormon underwear, and that was all she was permitted to wear. Nothing frilly or immodest. I honestly tried to talk her into a long while silk nightgown, modest but sexy, and she refused. I quit, because I do not want to make someone uncomfortable with their own beliefs. She'd had to have panels added to the neckline of her gown, which showed no cleavage to begin with, because it was too far below her neck. I suppose that this could just be her particular "brand" of Mormonism, but I'm not making it up. Blessings! |

| You can wear lingerie if you wish. If someone received their endowment on their wedding day, they may feel that staying with their garments has special significance. |
