| ok me and my hubby have been married for almost two years in september is when we will hit the two year mark well anyways. we had a wedding it was small in a relitves back yard. but me and my husband feel as though it was more about the person who was holding it hints why the flowers, music, colors, food, cake and even my dress she picked out and me and my hubby didnt have a say in it. we didnt even get a song to dance to it was more a ceremony and dinner then a reception. so what i was thinking that when our marriage hits 5 years that we have a big party like a reception with flowers and a dj with center peices and food that resembles us that we never got before i think that if everyone dressed in jeans and me and my hubby were the only ones in fancy atire not like a poofy dress but like a brides made dress and him in a suit. at the party and then me and my hubby and our two kids renewl our vows at a beach with no one except me and him and our kids. do you think its a good idea or not |

| That sounds like a very good idea.....a big anniversary party with a vow-renewal later....and just because you're not doing the 'poofy' dress doesn't mean you can't look like a knock-out...you're a married woman now...glam it up! A little sexy, a little seductive...think movie star....your hubby will love it! Good luck. |

| If you feel as if you didn't really get to have YOUR wedding, a ceremony that was truly yours and was representative of the two of you, by all means you should have a renewal of vows. You should even wear a wedding gown if you want, but the one that YOU would have chosen. Destination gowns are lovely, not at all poofy, and are ideally suited to beach weddings. Here are some examples;http://shinymedia.headshift.com/images/images/amanda_wakely_31jan.jpghttp://shinymedia.blogs.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/03/27/carmen_marc.jpghttp://trulyweddingblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/davids-bridal-dress.JPGYou can even get an eternity band(and a second wedding band for your husband if he wants) to use at the ceremony, so that it really feels like your ceremony not a redo of one someone else planned.Just make sure that whoever stuck their nose in before has no say at all... |

Heck yeah.. Have a renewal of vows. Were doing it for our 10th wedding anniversary. Just the two of us on the beach at sunset with an Elvis Impersonator (our compromise). Have fun with your kids. Make it a family affair. Our renewal will be without our children. good luck to you. |
