| I am planning a wedding for this december, i have lots of ideas for pink and brown, like pink bridesmaids dresses with brown on them and the men wear brown tuxes too, i have tons of pics of how to decorate with pink and brown as well and what cake i want. i need more ideas tho, im thinkin about gettin pink daisys and pink and white roses for the bouquets and all the centerpieces and all other flowers. does anyone have other idea on how to save money but make the wedding unforgetable? we are doin a southern style food buffet for the reception since we are in the south so please help this first time bride plan the best wedding!also what do you think about the pink and brown?thanks for all the suggestions, they are really good, i had already thought of a few of those so please keep them coming! |

I love the pink and brown. Especially the brown bm's dresses in Dec. You may want to check on getting daisies in Dec - they may be more expensive since they'll be off-season. Although I think they'd be beautiful mixed w/ the roses. Just a cost-saving thought. My best advice - go with your first instinct despite what other people say or will think! Once you've made your decision - run w/ it! Good luck! |

| I live in the deep south, Louisiana. I really like the idea. I would have Chocolate brown tux's & the dresses a really deep, deep pink. Same color pink bow ties or accents on the tux's. Wouldn't use pastel colors, just really deep, since it's "winter". Cream flowers with dark pink mixed in would look great. Good luck & a long, loving marriage filled with love & prayers to you!!!!! |

| I really like the pink. It's really kute and then the splash of brown makes everything look nice...Food in the South(If most people like it) is a good choice would be sea food. | The pink and the brown are fine, they will look lovely together (just do a darker shade of pink like another answerer suggested). I would however make a suggestion. If you use too much white in the wedding, it's going to look like Neapolitan ice cream. So if you want to incorporate white, I would maybe do an ice cream bar? Or a Neapolitan type of cake. Instead of white flowers, they do have brown flowers. Orchids come in brown, roses do too. Both are more expensive than I would imagine daisies are, but they would blend well with the color scheme. To save some money, instead of flowers for centerpieces, you could do candles in a chocolate scent (I personally think that this would be great). You can do the tables in either brown with pink accents, pink with brown accents, solid of either color or patterned. Since the wedding is in the winter, I would use the pink as more of a touch color and the brown as the primary. Maybe a deep mocha color and have the bridesmaids in silky brown dresses? Like this would be an idea:http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=50434&CatID=51367&GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=1395e6f&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CmCatId=50434|50444|51367You could have the bridesmaids carry pink flowers and have pink crystal jewelry to add in the pink. And you can carry the brown roses. Here's a link to them:http://www.rosesandblooms.com/index/en/i/98/180.htmlJust a few ideas. Good luck, congratulations and have a beautiful day! |
