K.. I really don't get to chat too much about my wedding but I would like opinions from others and any advice about the big day! I will be wearing a stark white strapless beautiful maggie sottero gown, very fitted thru the middle and hips and then a-line. I will have a bouquet of red roses with beautiful binding. The bridesmaids will be in black tea length strapless gowns and will carry red amaryllis bouquets. The groom will be in a tux along with his groomsan. We are having a monogrammed aisle runner to walk on and tulle and a candle at the end of each aisle of guests. We will have a semi-short reception followed by cocktail hour with a signature red martini( wedding in december). Dinner will be an amazing salad with dried cherries, feta cheese and mixed greens, grilled chicken with a light lemon sauce filled with cream cheese and bacon, beef brisket with bourbon sauce, etc. We are having artists paint pictures of us to decorate the venue with. And a harpist will play! Nice??I meant semi-short ceremony, not reception! And the harpist will play prior to and during the ceremony. We have a DJ for the reception. I am thinking of getting an ice luge for the bar! Oh and our side item will be a martini mashed potato bar where you can add bacon, cheese, carmelized onions, sour cream, etc to your potatos in a martini glass! We will have a video playing of photographs of us, our family and our time together thus far! Our centerpeices are beautiful and modern, big floral displays. For favors I havent yet decided, possibly cookies.. I heard edible is the way to go! What am I forgetting?!Sorry.. forgot about the cake. Well first, my SO and I are not very traditional. Our cake is amazingly beautiful but not tiered except for our own part that we keep. The other three layers are all the same size! Italian Creme Cake, Red velvet and chocolate with a dark chocolate filling. There will be one layer cake, one layer red roses, cake, roses, cake, roses, then our little layer. If that makes any sense.. sounds a lot better when its sketched out! Then covered in fondant. We are trying to keep the wedding at 20K and are almost at our limit!! Now I need to find a cheap honeymoon somehow if that even exists! And we want it to be all inclusive, ahhh!

I think it sounds classy. I really thought the monogrammed runner was a nice touch. One suggestion, since your main courses are both meat you might want to make sure that the sides are vegetable (along with the salad) just in case there are any vegetarians invited.

Sounds very nice, can we come? No really, the menu sounds delish, all the red will be pretty at Christmas. You did not mention your cake, nosey Riverscon... wants to know about that! There will be cake, won't there? And what are your table decorations? Red roses, too, or Amaryllis? Make up anothe question so youcan tell us the rest!

sounds beautiful!!! good luck to you!!! the bridemaids at my wedding wore black too, can I make a suggestion for the favors, i think it would be nice to have a small picture frame, with a picure of you and your husband with a thank you note, or one wedding i attended their wedding favor was a cd featuring all the music played at the reception and the cover had the bride and grooms name and date on it, and on the inside was a thank you note, i thought it was different....well good luck!!

Sounds like you just want to brag. You must have a lot of money to throw out there for one party. Not worth it.
