| My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 18 months. We knew each other through work and dated for about 4 months before we decided to move in together. We are really close and do almost everything together (except for the occasional girls night). We absolutely love the life we have together and all that it brings us (the good and the bad). Lately we have started looking at rings and I am wondering if he is going to ask me sometime soon. We have started to talk about what kind of wedding we would like to have and who would we invite to the wedding, where to honeymoon and etc.....Am I overeacting to our conversations or do I really have cause to believe he's going to ask me? I just want to save myself the frustration of waiting! |

| Take a deep breath and let him make this decision on his own. Men can get easily frustrated about asking if they feel pressure. You have all the time in the world. Slow down and enjoy the dating. |

| Why did you move in with him already? That was a bit too soon after just a little over a year. He may pop the question next week, or he may never ask. But if he is bringing it up then that is definitely a good sign and you have reason to be excited. |

| Sounds like a proposal may be on the way. That's how it started with me and my fiance. We started chatting about weddings, people to invite, colors etc. He never took me shopping for a ring. He left that a total surprise.Don't rush him into doing it. He is probably thinking of something sweet and romantic. He could be searching for the right location or a certain evening. Or he may be wanting the ring paid off before asking. Congrats and Best Wishes!! |

| Trust me, a guy who doesn't want to get married avoids the wedding topic at all costs. He talks about "just a piece of paper" and changes the subject. Your man is definitely thinking about it, and thinking about it is a great first step.Try to be patient. If a year goes by with no further action then bring it up, but until then let things progress naturally. |
