Question Details: Yesterday I posted two potential ads we were considering for a full page ad in a bridal magazine. Here are those ads: http://www.hollowaysgallery.com/ini...Here is a different shot of the couple which looks very different. I have the new on the left and the old on the right. The new is not fashioned into an ad yet so keep in mind it won't have the logo and verbiage.http://www.hollowaysgallery.com/ini...Of these two which attracts you? Remember, we are wanting to attract newly engaged women who will see this in a bridal magazine. Why do you like or dislike? Also, we had the tag line of "First Comes Love.... Then comes Holloway's". That reminded people too much of a jewelry ad.How are these tag lines, why and why not?Timeless Love...Timeless Memories....Holloway’s Photography.Real Love...Real Memories ...Let us Capture them.First comes Love...Then comes Holloway’s.Love is Forever...Let us Capture Yours.Your Love is Real...Let Holloway Capture it.I'm sorry! I copied and pasted from the question I posted in advertizing. Didn't show full link.Fist link: http://www.hollowaysgallery.com/INITIAL%20ADS.jpgSecond link:http://www.hollowaysgallery.com/initialads2.jpgKimberly, I'm glad you have an opinion just too bad it isn't about what I asked. I'm the photographer and am paying huge sums of $$ for this ad. I want the opinion of the general public which will be reading and hopefully responding to this ad. I believe Answers is a fairly large group of the general public. What better place to survey a potential ad? You might want to reconsider.KK, reading your bio you sound like a young person. Too bad you are so bitter and filled with whatever it is your are filled with. I'm glad you have all the bucks in the world to hire all the testing you want but I am limited. I love that you need to pick on typing errors to make your points. Why don't you try stepping out of your comfy little life and try really living. Though you make snide remarks about my typing (poor baby!) and my lack of professionalism because of my type-o I am out there living it. Supporting my family making a way doing what we are gifted at. We are photographers and make a lovely life doing it. You sound tough but honey you can't come close. One day life will bite you on then nose and then you'll wonder where your tough little hide went.

I couldn't get the links to work, but among the taglines, I like the "Timeless Love, timeless memories" the best - by far. I f you want, you can try sending me a message through Y!A with the links in it, I'll be happy to share my opinion.Edit: Looking at the second link, I like the ad on the right much better. The ad on the left looks unnatural, and it completely misses the mark - you're in the wedding photography business, not in the special effects business. I like the "natural" shot, and the ad design is quite nice.

Your links to the ads don't work for me.As for the taglines1) very nice....my favorite because if the "timeless" aspect2) can go either way3) little too nursery rhyme for me...the play on the rhyme thing is creative...just doesn't work here4) reminds me of jewelry ads (a diamond is forever) too much5) nice slogan...my second choiceI would go for the timeless one overall. Feel free to email me the links. I am a graphic designer and would love to see the ideas you have so far regarding your promotional pieces!

Edit: I wasn't really liking the original pictures but this new one is definitely my least favorite. I hate to say it but she looks a little harsh for lack of a better word. She looks fake, almost like an animated character. Her eyes aren't happy looking at all but cold and dark.As far as the tag lines, I think the third one is the best.

What kind of professional seeks out the assistance of complete strangers online who know nothing about the company? I would NEVER do what you're doing on such an informal place.EDIT:And for the record, I generally expect people to thumbs me down for this opinion. I work in marketing as a writer. If my company knew I was using an online source from complete strangers, I'd probably get laughed at and definitely wouldn't be taken seriously.EDIT 2:It's too bad you're so far from being a professional. In my line of work when we want to run idea, we do beta testing for a response.By the way, might want to edit your "About me". You didn't even finish writing professional nor did you spell "grade" correctly. You may not have wanted an opinion like this but then, you posted here so you ought to expect the unexpected.

I do not like any of the photos. I think you are selling jewellery not photography. The first looking over the shoulder looks like she has sinister motives. That is what her eyes are saying to me, no love or excitement there at all. Her ring is crooked. Really bad!The second one of better, but you have made the ring the focus (and not even a good focus as it looks cheap and milky after all your manipulation) suggesting jewelery to me not photography. Your newest photo is even worse then the first one. She looks evil. The tag line is misleading "first comes love, then comes halloways". I would not be like "wow I'm in love, better get a photographer", Instead I would be focused on the engagement which you seem to be as well.To fix this do a completely new shoot. Focus on the couple gazing lovingly at each other. Have them on wedding dress and suit. No one ever thinks of the photgrapher first when they get engaged, especially since the wedding is usually a year or so away, so you should not focus on that moment in your ad.As for your slogan "Timeless love, timeless memories, Halloways photography" is the best, especially of coupled with a photo of the happy bride and groom. The rest are $hit.Do not use the photos you already have as they are badly manipulated and bad quality. If they are your work it would be detrimental to your company to include these.

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
