| We are getting married on August 9th, 2008. I sent out the invitations on June 2nd. We put on the RSVP's to please send them back by July 15th. I sent them out a little earlier because, this being Alaska a lot of people are fishing, camping and hunting around August 9th and I wanted to give people plenty of notice to have that weekend open to come to the wedding. We have gotten a lot of RSVP's back from people out of state, but we are getting very frustrated with people here in Alaska. We have invited almost 100 people here in Alaska and we have only gotten maybe 30 RSVP's back from them. Am I just rushing things in my head, or should they have already sent them back to me by now? I know we gave them a deadline, but I just don't know how this usually works. I know that when I get an invitation with an RSVP I send it back right away. Am I just being paranoid?! |

| Unfortunately people ignore the RSVP cards. You will probably have to make some phone calls. |

| Well, if you gave them 'til July 15th, you have to wait until then before you can chase them up really. I would send mine back right away too!Me n FH had a bit of a to-do about RSVP's as he didnt want in on the invites at all... in his HUMBLE opinion, if they're invited, they should turn up. lol. I've since been told that in his family, most black people will NOT RSVP any-flippin-way, and are counted in as coming unless you hear otherwise.TYPICAL...anyway, i digress... You really should wait until the deadline and them give them a quick call/nudge.x |

relax a little...it's only the 1st and you gave them to the 15th you practically got 1/3 of them back already, which is a good thing. just remember that not everyone will be able to make it... sometimes things come up...and that is ok too. your wedding day is going to be beautiful and everything will fall into place if you don't stress over every detail. sometimes you just have to let life happen and remember to smile lots of luck on your special day <3 |

| For the minute, you need to sit tight and wait. On July 16th, you can phone and round up those who haven't replied. Don't stress. It is all going to be wonderful. |

| proper etiquette is to give people up to 2 weeks before the wedding to rsvp. so maybe people will respond by july 26th. if not, you need to start calling people to ask them. i had to do that too. |

| I'm getting married on the 8th of august and am also starting to get frustrated with very few RSVP, but I'm also impatient and want to start doing table settings and place cards and knowing how many tables and chairs to order been an outside wedding with a marquee, but again i do have till the 12th till the RSVP date so i am trying to relax about it, and will make some calls when the date comes. |

| Well you still have 14 more days! You really cant get worried till after your date. And a week later you call! you didnt give yourself much time from the RSVP return date and wedding date! You can always call people now and just ask if they got them (say there was a mail problem or a date return misprint) |

if you didnt have an rsvp date on your cards, they probably easily forgot to send them. I would just pick up the phone. say "hi, I didnt get your rsvp yet, will you be able to attend?" simple! Im worried about mine too. I dont want to have to make so many phone calls!!! you can break up the list, though., Have a sister or your fiance help you out. good luck, hope your wedding is wonderful! |
