What's $250 when it comes to having the gown of your dreams? If the Grace Kelly gown flatters you and makes you feel beautiful, go for it! This is your wedding day, and you deserve to feel positively gorgeous in the most beautiful gown you could find. I too was in a similar quandry between $125 and $350 gowns. I went went with the more expensive gown and don't regret it one bit =]

After you figure in the cost of alterations, the "expensive" one isn't going to be that much more than the "cheap" one. Isn't your bliss worth a couple hundred dollars? If the cost was, say, $850 for the expensive and $200 for the cheaper, I would say to maybe save the $600 for something else, but with the difference being as little as it is, I say go for the Maggie.

Well since the cheaper one does not come with alterations which can run quite a lot, I would go with the 850 one.

I would definitely go with the one you are in love with. The price difference BEFORE alterations is $250, which really, in the grand scheme of things, can easily be made up. However, AFTER alterations, the difference may be MUCH less...so the Grace Kelly (which I remember and want myself!!) would be the better buy. When is your wedding? Another option may be to look online for reputable discount bridal salons and see if they have that dress available for less. You have already tried it on, you know your size, if you have enough time this may be an option.I'll look around to see if I can find it for you. If I do, I'll edit this post. :)EDIT::)http://www.pizazzwedding.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=MSB-GraceKellyhttp://cgi.ebay.com/MAGGIE-SOTTERO-GRACE-KELLY-New-Wedding-Gown-0-16_W0QQitemZ270247573402QQihZ017QQcategoryZ63851QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247http://www.oncewed.com/find.cfm?listingID=288&name=Maggie_Sottero_Delightful_used_wedding_dress_by_Maggie_Sottero_Style_name_Grace_KellyI'll keep looking. However, the only problem with this option is that it doesn't include alterations...EDIT again:Okay, I don't necessarily reccomend doing this, but here's a place NOT in China that does replicas and your dress is one of hte ones in stock and on clearance right now for $250. May be worth checking outhttp://www.gioavonnisbridalboutique.net/Clearance_Wedding_Gowns.html

Like everyone else, I agree to go w/ the more expensive one. In my area, just a hem on a wedding dress is about $100-150; that doesn't include a bustle, or taking it in at the sides. Plus it's the one you feel in love with!! It's your wedding day & hopefully you'll only to do it once!! Have no regrets and go w/ your instinct.

I was actually in the same position. I never thought I would spend the amount that I did on my dress - but I found a dress that I absolutely felt like a princess in...and it had sleeves and that was important to me. In the end I paid $1250.00. I regreted it for a while - but when I put that gown on I felt beautiful and it gave me a lot of confidence. I loved it and I would never go back and do it differently.I say go for it! I know what dress you are talking about and it's beautiful. I know it seems like a lot, but if you put that dress on and feel absolutely beautiful then it's totally worth it. Good luck - don't worry; you will make the right decision...

If you go for the cheap one and it needs alteration, you have saved nothing. Go with the one you love, with the free alterations.

$850 isn't expensive but it depends what your budget is. It is only $250 more than the cheaper one. Also, all the alterations are included. It the more expensive one was a lot more expensive then I would say to go for the cheaper one because you only wear it once so don't go broke. This is your special day. You should get the gown that you really love as long as you can afford it. I am sure that no matter which gown you get that you will look beautiful. I better you are pretty so have confidence. So I would say go for the more expensive if you can afford it, otherwise I would go with the less expensive.

Those are good prices for wedding dresses.Go for the more expensive dress. You know you love it and you want it and you will be happiest in it. It includes alterations which, depending on what you have done, can cost over $250 anyway so it really is worth it.

Alterations on a wedding gown are going to cost at least $100 and usually more. So, get the more expensive dress that makes you feel beautiful. There is less than $200 difference in price.

I would go with the more expensive one. You get free alterations, which will save you quite a bit, also just the ability to look at your pictures years from now and now think "wow, I really wish I had got the dress I love" You are spending a lot on the day in general so make it as pleasurable as possible.

Based on the prices $250 really isn't that much more. Unless you wanted to get the Maggie dress custom made in China... I may get thumbs down for that answer but really you should think about it. I found a dress I loved that was $1100 but I couldn't spend that much on a dress and feel good about it... I went online, found a dress maker in China who made the dress for me and made all the alterations I wanted or needed, it was custom made to my measurements and including shipping it cost me $150.
