I am getting married in the next 6 weeks or so, and my fiance and I are working on lining up birth control(we are both virgins). We have had Encare recommended, and want to try putting it on (not having sex)ahead of time to see if we have reactions so we don't ruin our honeymoon if we do. For her, this is easy, just put the tab "in" and it is good..... but for me, how do I moisten it, or if it is moist, do I have to dilute it with anything? I know it normally would mix with her vaginal juices, but would I just use water? I am also uncircumcised, I don't know if that affects anything or not. Any advice to "trying" Encare out would be helpful.

Hmmm. not sure how a test run would do for a man. Hubby and I have used it several different times in the last 13 years or so. The last time we did have a minor reaction...basically both of us had irritation similar to a UTI. The only thing I can think of is for you to wet it with warm water and basically rub the thing all over the head of your penis for 10 minutes or so. If it does not cause any burning or anything than you should be good to go. Hubby and I have been using VCF contraceptive film recently. It can be a bit tricky to insert (i had one melt to my finger tonight), but has not caused the irritation that the Encare caused. One word of caution. With any form of spermicide that says to insert and wait 10-15 minutes before sex DO IT. My daughter was conceived because hubby has no sense of the passage of time. we did not wait the 15 minutes for the encare to melt:(

You dont moisten them at all. Its an ovul, and once its inserted into the vagina it dissolves. It becomes a foam that is left in the vagina while you are having sex. It works well and I used it for several years before I was trying to get pregnant. And you being uncircumsized has nothing to do with it working correctly.

I don't know how you will be able to check it out first as it might give her an issue also, maybe both of you expose yourself to it before the first night. Being uncircumcised will not matter. Good luck and congratulations for being a virgin on your wedding!!!Ok I just thought are you asking how to make it a foam to see if you have a reaction? If so than yes I think a little water will work but dont use water when you are having sex as that may weaken it.
