| My fiance and I want to get married next year and we are having a black and red theme for our reception. Some people think it will seem like a funeral but I think it will look super classy and romantic. I don't plan on doing all black with little red accents; more like half and half. Both me and my fiance will be in white, as will the flower girl and ring bearer, but the rest of the wedding party will be wearing mostly black with red accents. What month of the year is the best time for this type of wedding? I was thinking fall, but I don't want it to be too cold because I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It's an evening wedding. Opinions? |

| If you dont wanna do when its cold..why not try early fall..like early september or oct.Or try a spring wedding...Like March or April. |

| Those colors would be good in October or November. But if you don't want it to be cold, maybe August. |

| I think because it is an evening wedding, any time not during the summer would work because it will be dark and seem very classy and romantic. BTW congrats on getting married! |

| My niece did the same thing, she had her wedding in Dec.. Although it was cold, it was very chic and romantic! (The church was decorated in red poinsettias) |

| Sounds like a GREAT winter wedding! I think that these colors are very appropriate for evening weddings, especially. I would go for a January or February wedding with these colors! |

| I recently was married in April, and I also had a Black, White, and Red wedding. A lot of people thought it would look like a funeral, but once everyone got to the reception they were amazed at how classy everything looked. I used Burgundy Calla Lilies for my flowers, and white hydrangeas for the centerpieces. I really don't think any month is better than another for a black and red wedding. Good luck and congrats! |

| I think if you do black, red and white (since your dress and it adds a lighter tone) any month is fine since its all classic and clean colors. Summer or fall would be best in my opinion though. |
