sterling silver is very cheap (cost & material)..depending on how you react to the metal, it could turn your skin green and normally it tarnishes (turns black)titanium is very, very strong. my fiance works in the mines so his wedding band cannot be titanium. say for instance your hubby to be gets his ring stuck and he can't get it off, the ring cannot be cut off.white-gold (if you like silver) would probably be your best choice either 10K or 14K gold...and wal-mart has some very reasonable priceswww.walmart.comgood luck!

titanium is one of the most durable metals u can buy. however they are more expensive than lets say white gold. i would look on ebay. its where we bought all 3 our of our rings (totaling about 1.5 k on white gold) for about $1000.00 total.

I believe titanium is almost as durable as platinum, which is one of the harder metals rings are made of. You could have a custom band made for your ring, or go and try on ready-made bands and see if there's something that will work with your engagement ring. I don't really see your wedding band being anything but gold, perhaps with diamonds.

If you go with a plain 9ct gold band, it shouldn't be overly pricey. If this helps, we went to the jeweller and bought a band for me, a band for my fiance and a silver necklace for my flowergirl. It came to a total of $320 I tried on heaps with my engagement ring, and the ring I picked is perfect. It matches so beautifully that you would think it is a set! Shop around, try heaps on, take advantage of sales and layby. I think a plain gold band would be stunning with your ring. My engagement ring is very similar to yours. Hope this helps. If all else fails, you might like to have a look on www.ebay.com there's some great stuff on that site and you can pick things up really cheap. Good luck and congrats.

My husb has a titanium band and doesnt even match my ring, nor did we want it too. It was what he wanted and worked well for his job. It's very sturdy. Have you thought about putting the rings on layaway. Some jewlery stores have a layaway plan. Thats how my husb paid for my wedding ring. As far as your ring goes, you have a princess cut diamond and there are ring bands that will fit around your ring. Ask the advice of the jewlers, thats why they are there.

My fiance ended up choosing a Tungsten ring. He wanted something heavier and more durable than Titanium and liked the glossier effect on the Tungsten a lot better. He likes to work on cars and was worried about a regular ring scratching, but the Tungsten ring is the most durable ring I have ever seen. I think I ended up paying around $250 for his band, but that was on the high side for the Tungsten rings that were available at the jewelers. The only thing with the Tungsten rings is to make sure that the size is right when you order it, because if it doesn't fit right when you get it you have to get it resized by the company that made it, not the jewelers. I know this because my fiance thought that his ring size was a 9, but he now needs to get it in a 8.5 because the 9 will fall off his finger when it gets wet. I have never bought a ring off a website, but here are a few that carry tungsten and titanium. I would suggest you go to a jewelers though just so you know for sure that it is what you want.http://www.titaniumkay.com/Mens-Tungsten-Carbide-Rings-100401.htmlhttp://www.tungstenworld.com/tungsten-info/As for your engagement ring, it is gorgeous! I hope you can find something that will work for it, because an enitre new bridal set could get expensive. Good luck!
