| I have been dating my boyfriend for about 3 years now. Even though I was on the pill, I got pregnant last September and gave birth to a boy this June. We have openly discussed what we would like to have in our wedding, but whenever I bring up the topic of ring/engagement he strays away. Recently I asked him what year he was planning on us marrying and he replied "when you're done with school" (I am pursuing my Master's in Nursing so that won't be until Spring of 2011). I've given birth to his child, we are very much in love..and were before the baby, but I think he's putting it off because besides the ceremony/license we ARE virtually married. It upsets me greatly because I feel like a whore to be unmarried and with a child. I've even said I would be fine with a long engagement, but he is unresponsive. Am I wasting my breath being persistent about this, or does he just unsure about the details? |
