I think that the pants, shirts, and suspenders would be good, but maybe you could go with blue ties or an old fashioned print (red, navy, paisley). Or they could forget the ties altogther. Your dress is lovely by the way.

your idea sounds fine. since the girls are wearing tealength gowns the guys don't have to be in tuxedos. black pants, dress shoes, and a coordinating tie. if you're down with the suspenders i think it adds a unique touch.

Will the men wear jackets at all? Your gown is a bit more formal then no jackets that's why I ask.Otherwise that would be fine for the men to wear. Remember to relax that what ever you choose it will all turn out beautifully. The most important part is that you are married in the end. No one ever tells you that the marriage is the most important part of the wedding. If something is not exactly as it was planed only you will know the guest will not and everything will go off without a hitch. get it hitch!

I like your idea alot but how about have your guy wear black pants, black shirt, white tie and suspenders...I don't if you have something picked out for him as there is nothing stated. Then the groomsmen in black pants, white shirts, red tie and suspenders to match the bridesmaids. I think that this would definetly create a 1940's theme. And if you really wanted to get into it they could wear fidoras.http://www.wearitagainsamvintage.com/item.lasso?recid=12586426

First off your dress is lovely. So are your bridesmaid dresses.Just happened to read that the groom is in a situation. I think what you have suggested for your groomsmen is very nice. Just switch some colors. Have your groom wear black pants, black shoes, white shirt, white tie. For the groomsmen, black pants, black shoes, red or blue shirts (long sleeve) with black ties. You might want to try adding a black vest with a satin back and for a touch of the 40's an arm band (red for the groom and blue for the groomsmen) and a Fedora. You could also add a zoot suit chain to the front of their pants. Congratulation and Best Wishes!
