I think if a kid wants to wear a bridesmaid dress in an accent color of the wedding, no problem. Why does it matter if people think she was in the wedding party? Unlike most bridesmaids, this child loved the dress, and is thrilled to be able to wear it again. She'll probably outgrow it soon and never have another opportunity to wear it. I suggest graciously giving her what is likely her last opportunity to wear that dress. She'll enjoy your wedding more b/c she's wearing that dress she loves. And this saves her family the money and trouble of finding a new one for her.

Your concern is that you might be "upstaged" by an 11 year old girl? Wow. First, realize that although it is your day, you invited your families and friends to celebrate with you, so that means you care about them...so why would you freak out so much over an 11 year old's dress? And with 600 guests, why would anyone focus on her dress and not the goings-on during the reception and the bride/groom? Relax. She's a kid in a cute dress.

You might want to consider this course of action - grow up. No one cares about the bridesmaids, even ones who aren't actually in the wedding.

Let it go -- don't be a bridezilla... are you seriously that intimidated by a 10 year old in a burgundy dress??? I wanted everyone to be comfortable and happy at our wedding. I don't think I really cared what they were wearing, even if it was beautiful. And who cares if people think she was in the wedding. NOT a big deal. And your life must be really good to be worried about this

I understand your concern. If its a bridesmaids dress, you should be a bridesmaid to wear it. No re-use. However, this girl is 10-12 yrs old, no one is probably going to pay attention to her. Theyll just think shes a tween who doesnt know how to dress herself. At least shes not wearing jeans and Tshirt! Dont worry, shell blend into the madness and no one will notice.

Get over yourself. You have FIVE different colors involved in your wedding. If you think nobody is going to show up wearing any of these colors, you are sorely mistaken. If you are concerned with being upstaged by a 12 year old, you have some serious issues. You need to straighten out your priorities. And over 600 people at your reception? This isn't the Presidential Inauguration Ball, you are NOT that important. You need to stop being so self involved, sooner or later you will realize (the hard way) that the world does not revolve around you.ETA: I should have known you were a Lumi fan LOL.

Think about this... You are going to have 600 people at your reception.... So what if one of them wears a lime green, orange, or burgandy dress? Stop worrying about what people are going to wear. You can't send out a dress code.If you don't want that girl to wear that dress then I would suggest buying her one that you find suitable to wear to your wedding. Obviously not everyone can afford to buy something nice everytime there is a wedding. I know I can't.
