My fiance and I have decided to get married in Ocean City, Maryland on the beach. We are getting married on May 8th, 2010. I'm very nervous about the weather. Is it cold there the beginning of May? I have a couple of other questions too that aren't part of the weather topic. Is it okay to have 2 flower girls in your wedding? I have a stepsister and a cousin who I cannot decide between to be a flower girl. I had this vision of having my ring bearer in the center and each girl on the sides of him. Do you know of any inexpensive hotels in Ocean City, Maryland that is on Oceanfront View? We are having family and friends go down with us for the weekend of our wedding. I was trying to find an inexpensive hotel cheaper than $115 a night. Our plan is to leave early that Friday morning, have the wedding ceremony on Saturday, and leave to come home the Sunday or Monday. The following Saturday(May 15) we want to have reception back in Pennsylvania(where we live). Is it weird to have a reception a week after the ceremony? We wanted to do this for the people who weren't invited to the ceremony or couldn't make it. If you had any ideas or tips about our wedding let me know. Thank you so much!

Average Temperatures for May in Ocean City is 70 degrees. So Perfect! Now you just have to be sure it won't rain! Sure, there is no limit to the number of flower girls that you can have in your wedding. Traditionally everyone always goes with One, but who says you can't have two! Here are some cheaper oceanside motels in that area:http://www.rodewayinn.com/hotel-ocean_city-maryland-MD604?amp;promo=gglocalhttp://www.saharamotel.com/http://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-ocean_city-maryland-MD010?amp;promo=gglocalThat would be fine to have the reception a week after the ceremony. If you need anymore help, feel free to email me. I'd be honored to give you more ideas. |

well i'm not sure about the weather...I would say it's going to be chilly, and really the only thing I can help you with here is the girls...It is not uncommon to have two flower girls, You might want them to follow the ringbearer as the flower petals the girls will be dropping are meant for you.

I'm not sure about most of your questions, but I had two flowergirls at my wedding. Well actually technically I had three, but one was way too young (she was 15 months) and she just wore the same dress but didn't walk down the aisle. So, no I don't think that's a bad idea. It can be quite cute.

Congratulations on your up coming wedding. I live on the eastern shores of Md. Yes it is generally cool the first part of May in Ocean city. As for your 2 flower girls, it is most definitely okay. It is your day and your can do what ever you want. Now for the hotels, the ones with ocean views start at $250.00 and up per night. They have 2 Queen size beds and generally a fold out sofa bed. Try the Park Place hotel or the Atlantic hotel. Good luck on your wedding, and God Bless you both.
