| NO-unless the female is more male like and she/he usually wears pants- you might try a girly pant suit but no dark colors! good luck have fun at the wedding |

| a dress would be best. not necessarily a full length gown. but you can get some snazzy trouser suits that would be considered formal. I have a very glam 3 pc outfit that I would wear to a formal wedding if that's what I felt like wearing. one must be comfortable as well. |

| defanately not... think about if u were to wear the pants and top and every single other women was wearing a dress, u would feel uncomfortable the whole night, get a very nice dress |

| If you are not in the wedding then you should be fine. But you have to look elegant. Your outfit shouldn't stand out too much. I suggest some cream slacks and a nice top. No denim or odd material. I hate wearing dresses myself, so a nice pair slacks and some killer shoes would be suffice. |

| I once saw the mother-of-the-bride wear pants. But they looked so much like a long skirt that you had to look twice to see that they were actually wide-legged pants. The material was a beautiful, sparkly silver-color. Classy! |

| If it says formal I don't think pants will work but that doesn't mean you have to wear a ball gown. Wear a nice skirt and shirt or something like that. Meet in the middle of the pants and gown. Call some other people going to the wedding to see what they plan to wear. But in the end you will be the one wearing whatever you choose so do what you're comfortable with =] |

| You can get away with black pants, and the cutest formal top. People even think only dark colors are formal. My sister wore a strapless denim dress to a formal wedding and rocked it with accesories! |
