i would skip the personalized ribbon.. it is a waste of money.. i was involved in a shower where the bride's sister (maid of honor) ordered it for the favors and then insisted she didn't have to kick in for the food b/c the ribbon was over $100.. for 30 favors!! just get a nice ribbon that goes with the colors.. otherwise it sounds lovely though

It's fine, but truly, a favor is an unnecessary expense. If you provide your guests with a fun time-good food, drinks, entertainment--that's enough. If you're on a tight budget, cutting out the favors is a great way to save $--also no need to print programs unless you're having a very nontraditional wedding to explain the proceedings to your guests.Every single wedding I've been to, half of the favors are left behind on the tables--people just don't want the stuff in all honesty.

Well, the idea you had sounded super nice, but I was picturing real wine glasses... so with the plastic it seems silly. That's just my opinion though... if I went to your wedding I may not know that these are meant as a favor and throw it away because of the plastic. If it was something I could take home and use and use again then it would be worth it. I might just take the hersheys out and leave the glass... then you'd be left with a bunch of plastic wine glasses.

I'm a little biased but there is a great selection of wedding favors at MyWeddingFavors.com.

Why did you even ask the question if you already bought the wine glasses? I would have told you to skip doing favors. No one misses them if they aren't present. I would have suggested saving your money and doing something else with it. You will have soooo many left overs, and not only that, but who wants ONE wine glass?

I like your idea. One thing I want to do is donate to a charity - like Children's Hospital because his daughter has spent most of her life there and with that they give you like scrolls or bookmarks you give as wedding favors that let your guests know that you donated to them. I know for sure that St. Jude does that.
