Hi there
I am just building up my business in wedding photography. So far all the weddings I have photographed have been through word of mouth. However, I am now beginning to get enquiries through my website and after the initial chat over the phone my clients want to see my work (prints).
How do you show you prints e.g. what kind of album do you use for print display? |

You can simply scan them, and resize so decrease download time, and place em on your website. And if they want further work, you could arrange to meet them in person, and show them the work.
As for album, I use one which is enough for the size of my pictures. |

| Yeah, scanning can produce high quality results, but you need at least a $100 scanner if yiou want any good quality. |

Why scan anything? If you are shooting digital, you already have a file to use. Just downsize it in Photoshop and then you can post it on your website.
As for presentations for clients who meet with you, you want to have all your work in professional wedding albums. These albums are only offered by wedding photographers and cannot be purchased at any store. You'll need to find an album distributor or a direct manufacturer to buy from.
Put your work in the best albums you can afford. Presentation means a lot in the sales aspect of the business. You need to decide if you want to sell matted albums or flushmount albums. Today's brides are mostly interested in the flushmount albums because they have a more contemporary look and feel to them. That of course requires you to have good Photoshop skills to produce the right kinds of prints that can fit in this type of album.
Also, only show photos from one complete wedding rather than having multiple weddings in a single album. It's more representative of your final work if you show only one wedding per album. I'd suggest having at least a 20 page album (40 sides) to show for each wedding. You'll want at least 3 albums too. So, three complete weddings is what you want to show. Most brides will be satisfied if you can show them that you have shown them complete weddings rather than just one or two shots from various weddings.

| Have one album of what you consider your best shots, that way you can show off what you can do in one place. Have other albums that contain only one wedding so people can get a sense of your total body of work. These are important because anyone can accidentally get some great shots. |
