| Every year for my parents anniversary I get them something personalized. I have gotten their wedding picture framed in a custom crystal frame, and some other things. I don't like just going to Hallmark and buying something generic. I have checked out the websites like gifts.com, or personalcreations.com but I am not seeing anything that is thrilling me. My backup idea will be taking them out to dinner, but I prefer an actual gift. I don't like mushy things with love poems bc my parents aren't very romantic, lol. I usually like taking a picture of them and using it for something..but I am open to ideas!Do you have any good ideas? |

after 27 years I would guess they have a lot of "memento's"you might try something that is unusual-it doesn't have to last it's the memory/thought that counts.a couple idea's that I have done (I'm working on 3 on our 25th I took her to a nice restaurant and had the matre'd bring her a vase of flowers that I had delivered earlier. beautiful crystal vase with 25 roses12 white in the center shaped like a heart and 13 red fanned out for a background. It was really neat, BUT one of the restaurant employees pinched off one of the roses (I didn't notice but you can guess who did)it was something she will remember. another time (32) I bought a helium cylinder and filled 32 balloons, writing on each one the numbers 1 thru 32. when she came home they were floating on the ceiling of the kitchen, living room and dining room.you could do that and write on each balloon the momentous occasion (your birth/siblings-anything that comes to your mind. the balloons will last (at most) a few days, but your parents will remember coming in and seeing those balloons forever. |

You can give them a share of stock from www.giveashare.com, in one of their favorite companies, or have a caricature of them drawn by the terrific artist at www.giveacaricature.com, enjoying their favorite hobbies.
