I made my own with an art program. It took a little bit of messing around with, but turned out really well. I took a landmark that everyone would see in my town and did it from there. Make sure you put some of the street names and landmarks around the area.In addition to the map, I also had written directions and the addresses of the locations. The people who could not read the map just went to mapquest and printed out the step by steps.

that is done in a graphics program like Photoshop or Illustrator. I do them all the time for my brides. The easiest way for you to do this yourself if you don't have experience with those programs is to print off the mapquest directions. Then get some tracing paper and mark off the important streets and sketch your design. Scan and save.

I would draw it in word.. it would take patience but you can do it.. sketch what you want by hand and then try to duplicate it.. then print them on nice paper.. consider printing on paper with a floral border already on it and only doing the map and words in Word.

Some good answers already. I used Illustrator to make our map and printed it on card stock. Any graphic program would do. If you dont have one or cant use it, perhaps ask a friend who can? Its pretty simple and should take no time at all. Good luck with it!
