Hey,
My names Ian and I am hoping to get into photography. I would be taking pictures of paintball players because I play paintball and I would really like to hopefully make a career out of it some day. I am still young now so I have plenty of time to improve. Anyway, I am going to get a new camera for my birthday. I need suggestions on a camera though. I've been told a Nikon D50, and from what i see, the quality is very nice. I need a camera that could capture the fast pace game well. Something that wont blur. So does anyone have tips for me to get the best pictures like the professional paintball photographers? Tips on a good beginner camera would be good too, i'm leaning towards the Nikon D50 as of now. | I was playing around with a Canon Rebel XT this afternoon with my brother and had him move around as fast as he possibly could, and I got some very clear pictures out of that. |

| My sister just got a D40 and she loves it. She's gotten pictures of us running around like crazy out in the yard and they've all come out great. |

it depends on:
-you budget
-your lens
-if ur budget is around than $600-$800
you can probably get nikon d50 or a canon rebel xt... another good camera is the Olympus Evolt E500. Evolt is getting a lot of exposure lately because it's cheap and quality is almost the same as nikon and canon...
evolt e500 is 8mp and u can get a kit for less than $600!
-now about the lens... this is a major factor, specially if you are interested in sports photography... |

| Go and handle a few different makes of camera see what feels right to you, in your hand? build quality? does it have a good range of accessories? does it do all you want it to? don't be swayed by anyone else after all you're the one who will be using it all the time. I'm a Canon gal but then I have been for over 20 years. |
