| I am attending a casual wedding. I have a sundress that has a white background with a pastel blue flower design pattern and pastel blue ribbon belt that fits around the waist. A white sweater goes over it.My questions is ....is this inapproriate to wear to a wedding? I've always heard you should never wear white to a wedding. This dress is not completely white though...just the background and the sweater that covers it. |

| A guest at a wedding isn't supposed to match or out do the bride. You could actually show the dress to the bride, and ask if it's ok with her. There's nothing wrong with that. It's what I'd do. |

| I agree with above - ask the bride. But the dress sounds OK to me. Not all brides wear white these days to their weddings so she might not be at all worried by what you're proposing to wear. |
