For the last year i have been on on paxil and then wellbutin for about 3 years. i have gained alot of weight from paxil. it did wonders for me but made me very uncomfortable about myself. i got so frustrated the other day that i flushed all my medication down the toilet and said no more.its been about 5 days and i almost feel as if i don't want to live anymore. Today i went to a wedding and afterwards on the way to the reception had major aggression, dizziness and then just being sad and wanting to cry. my head is just going 240. i feel as if there is no hope. its so hard to explain how sad and depressed i am and how i feel. what do i do?

See your doc asap, you can not stop that stuff cold turkey. There are lots of newer meds that may not increase your appettie. I am on cymbalta and lamictal and it's a good combo for me.

NEVER quit anti-depressants cold turkey. That is THE worst thing you can do. There are major withdrawal symptoms. You need to talk to your doctor. My doctor put me on step-down schedule of Prozac to get me off Paxil. You obviously need the medications for depression, but you should speak with your doctor about switching to another medication. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the right medicine for you. Just because they prescribed Paxil or Wellbutrin doesn't mean it's the drug for you.
