I think the french tip is best, and personally most beautiful of the two... I think that since you aren't used to them you shouldn't have them too long. If you tell the person you are still currently undecided on the length they will cut them down slowly and let you look at them to see which length you want to go with.

if you are not used to them then go for a short natural length so it could be easier for you to get used to them. Like your dress is white i would got with the white tip it will look elegant and your hands will look beautiful.

Please take my advicve... HONESTLY dont do french tip! i have had fake nails for years and yes i do have french tip but for a wedding i think it kinda looks tacky. i would opt for something a little darker than ur skin color. For example if ur fair i would go with like pale pink/peach. So...i would go with short tips (that way u dont feel so different from ur normal nail lenght) and do something natural! Smile ...ive read that french tip for weddings are a thing of the past...so be the Present! Smile

Don't go for either. Get them painted a solid colour, something light and with a pearly look to it. French and American tips can look too busy. Keep them short, especially if you're not used to long nails. If you're getting your nails done now I don't think they'll last 100% for the 9 days till your wedding. It's best to get the filled every week and the polish will get chipped and wear off before then.

As a manicurist, and girl who's worn acrylics many times, I would go for the pink/white look with squared ends. The fact of the matter is, they are fake and look fake, there isn't any ways of looking natural, so you need them to look as fabulous as possible! Also, the pink/white will look great with your white white dress. More feminine. If you've never worn them before, I would get them no longer than a 1/4" over the tips of your fingers and no more. They are managable that way. Also, since you are 9 days out, you may need a fill depending on how fast your nails grow..so you could get them a bit shorter and go back in and have them filled right before you leave.

I would go with the French tip for sure, especially if your dress is white white. I got an American one time and the tips turned yellow in a week...so not cute. BTW, if at all possible, you should cancel the appointment for tonight and get your nails done closer to the wedding (like a few days before). Are there no nail salons where you're going? For one thing, they could get messed up and you would have to go back to get them redone. Also, your nails will grow in under the acrylics and it will show (trust me). You'll want your nails to look fresh for the wedding, which they won't if you get them done this far ahead of time.

Go for the French tips. I find that American tips just look kind of dingy, and you want your nails to look fresh for your wedding pictures. Previous poster "katie t" was wrong -- people WILL notice your hands, especially because you will have pictures taken of your rings, which are usually zoomed in very close. Having your nails done is a good idea! You can ask for square tips but have them round the edges so they don't snag on things. This looks more natural, too, then the straight across squared off look. For length, go less than a 1/4 inch from the edge of your finger. If you explain to the nail person that you need short nails for your job but want them to look nice for your wedding, she/he will understand what to do.If you're looking for a natural color nail polish, I always liked OPI's "coney island cotton candy." It's not too pink and doesn't make your nails look dull.
