my fiance and i are debating what to wear to our reception. we're getting married in vegas on the Dec 27th and returning to have our reception on the 30th. in our wedding, we decided that i'm wearing a white formal evening gown (not a wedding dress, but one i can wear again) and he's wearing a charcoal colored suit. we don't know whether to wear our wedding clothes, or me wear a cocktail dress and him a suit, or what we should wear. help!we're letting guests wear whatever they want, so we know some will dress up and some won't.

How formal is your reception? I would welcome the chance to wear the wedding dress again. Even though you may be able to wear it at a later date, this would be a good opportunity to get some use out of it and I'm sure your friends and family would love to see it.

Depends on how formal you want your reception to be. If your going formal then go with what you are wearing to get married in. If it is more causal then wear the evening gown and suit. But most importantly be comfortable in whatever you choose.

Wear what you're wearing for the ceremony. Are you really going to wear that dress again? If you're anything like me, the only time you dress up is for weddings and funerals. And you can't wear it to either of those. So get some use out of it.

You said that you wanted to wear your dress again... so do it! It's a evening gown anyway, and your husband can wear the suit again. It you are having a formal reception, your guests should also wear formal clothes... thus the perfect opportunity to wear your dress again.Good luck

I say if it is your official wedding reception, GO FOR THE GOWN!!! Personally, I think the guests would like seeing you in your ceremony clothes, plus your wedding photos and reception photos will "match".Congrats & good luck.

Hi. I would wear what you are wearing for the wedding itself. Why not? You said it's a formal gown....get your use out of it! I think it would be perfect for the both of you to wear what you are wearing for the wedding.
