| Last friday I turned in a time off slip saying I needed to leave next Friday, (so i gave two weeks notice) at four o'clock..... I usually leave by five, so its only an hour early but my friend is getting married and I need to make sure to be there... the other guy turned in a paper for the whole day off... (after me) They told him yes and told me no because they have some tools that have to ship and apparently this hour will make the difference... I don't see why they can't get them ready an hour early with my two weeks notice!! I dont want to miss my friends wedding or lose my job, what should I do?!? (ps, I am a nanny also for the president of the company so I could talk to him but... it may end up worse because he would go to my boss and my boss would be mad at me....) what should I do?!?!? |

| If you only have to leave an hour early, ask you boss if you can make up the time. I uesed to do that all the time. I would work an extra hour a different day, or I would start an hour earlier the day I needed to leave. You boss should be flexible. |
