My boyfriend recently proposed to me and I decided to start planning our wedding.. Its not happening until May of 2009 but I'd rather get started now then wait to the last minute. So I'm trying to find some what cheap/inexpensive ceremony sites in the Southern New Jersey area. Actually any ideas you can give me would really be good... Thank you!!!

Least expensive?A wedding at home (or a family member's home). A wedding in the park. A wedding on the beach. A wedding at your place of worship (churches usually give their regular members a break).Or maybe one of the New Jersey bed and breakfast inns? Check them out here:http://www.bbonline.com/nj/weddings.html

You're very smart to start planning early. 2009 seems far away, but it will come up pretty fast. Finding a site all depends on your taste and you budget. If you're looking for a cheap/inexpensive, then you must have a small budget. But just because you have a small budget doesn't mean that you can't comparison shop around. Check your local hotels/romantic restaurants, wineries, & golf courses.Good Luck!

parks are your best bet. usually all you need is an event permit from the parks department that oversees that particular park. i had mine on the blue ridge parkway and just needed the permit since it is a federal park. now you will need to find out what they allow and don't allow. i wanted to include a sword and broom tradition, but since it is a fed park, there were no weapons allowed. also no birdseed or rice. so these are considerations you need to take into consideration.

My fiance' and I origianlly were planning May '09, but we realized that we loved hte autumn more.Go for unconventional venues. They can be affordable, or even free, and they'll definitely be memorable.I am looking at several different options:A lovely old resort, that has a "maze" the couple travels to the center where the preacher awaits. They have a full package including honeymoon and reception. An incredible old spring on the property of my grandparents; friends. I would love to have it there if they agree.A gothic style church adorned with stained glass that only charges a small fee.On the mountain where my grandparents' grew up, married, and live.Do you have anything like this where you live? Perhaps family or friends with impressive yards, or homes?

Ask friends and relatives. Look online too. What about a place like a park? Good luck with the search, and enjoy the planning process. Smile
