We are making our wedding favors which are glass votif holders and we want to join ribbon to them. What is the best, easiest way to do it? We tried hot glue but dosent look real good and you get the glue strings all over the place.

Not much sticks to glass. You'd have to build a big ugly lump of glue. Better to tie the ribbons around the votive. .

I would use double side tape to attach the ribbons to the glass.

How about mod podge - or thinned out white glue - cover a short section ahead of the ribbon - then glue down - when glass votive is completely covered go over the whole thing again - this time on top of the ribbon. The ribbon will be wet - but mod podge and thinned white glue dries clear.
