I just made my invitations!!! Get a good paper cutter... or if you're not sure you can figure out the measurements bring the paper to fed ex kinkos and they will cut and print on your paper for you. This is acutally what I did... and it took out A LOT of the work. Have you gotten your supplies yet? I suggest using all cardstocks. Some sites suggest for the wording you use a "text paper" which is slightly lighter than cardstock and goes through a printer much easier... Don't do this. Bring your cardstock to kinkos and spend the four dollars to have it printed on. The cardstock looks so much nicer, and you won't see any glue or bubbles. Have you gotten your supplies yet? Are you using pocketfolds or are you just doing an invitation? I personally like pocketfolds better.. you can put your RSVP card etc... in a pocketfold and they are very nice. I actually ordered a DIY kit fromwww.bella-kai.com If you don't like their designs they just sell pocketfolds for a good price and you can get your own papers. This site is good for inspirations though. Also when you're gluing, use the double sided tape. It's available in any craftstore and is best for inviations. What kind of DIY invites are you looking for? I've made a couple different kinds for friends and family... let me know |

| i made my own and what I did was I used regular card stock that I got at walmart. I have a program on the computer that allows the cutting grids to print so I did not have to measure just cut the lines (nice) then I got some vellium paper from the craft store and some ribbon and some larger colored paper. I took the invite glued it on the paper with double sided tape. in the center I used it as a self sealer deal so no envelopes involved anyways on the vellium paper I put our picture on it then glued it on top of the invite and glued the bow on top of it.. then sealed them with an envelope sealer. the whole thing costed me around $60 and I made enough for 150 ish. and had stuff left over.they looked cute. I have people on his side asking me to do theirs now.. |

| Only advice I can give you is make sure you have the right printer. I have a down loading Lexmark printer and I couldn't get the alignment to stay straight on the words... So I broke down and took everything to Staples and had them all printed up in an hour at 16 cents each sheet. |
