| I want my wedding to be small, with just mine and his immediate family, and I want to parade down the aisle in blue jeans and a t shirt, and just get married. Like maybe in Vegas. And for the reception, we can all go to a bar and get wasted, and for our honeymoon we can stay in a hotel and go gambling and rent crappy DVDs. Why are weddings such a big deal anyway? I understand why it's a big deal to get married, I just don't understand why the wedding has to be this big thing. Does that make me weird?Anyway, how do you want your wedding to be? |

| no you not weird i understand i wanted to get hitched in Vegas too. And jeans and t-shirts are more comfy than a dress any day. But my fiance doesn't like that idea and neither do his parents...so church wedding here i come....Yuck!!! |

| Not at all, everyone has their own vision of the perfect day. Do whatever would make you happy. I'm personally not getting too crazy with mine. I'm going with simple yet elegant. |

| I don't understand why anybody would want to go to a bar and get wasted. Or even at home wasted. That part sounds awfully immature. As far as a wedding being a big thing, a wedding IS a big thing. However, you just want to get married. That's a different animal all together.I'm getting most of what I wanted.Small wedding with a non-white dress. Cake and snacks. Spending time visiting. No drama (I hope anyway).Sadly, most of the relatives I most would have wanted at my wedding have passed away. I would be just as happy to go to Las Vegas and get married by Elvis, but the dress I wanted would clash with that image. |

| Haha, that's not strange at all. I personally that some of these things are wayyyyy overdone.But I myself do want a bit of a lavish wedding.....Traditional white, but the complementing colors will either be brown and blue or dark purple....I'll just wait to decide the rest when the day comes, though! |

| My girlfriend and I don't want a wedding at all. We'll probably just get the documents or whatever it takes then that's that. |

| i eloped.....my in-laws didn't like me...so we decided not to have the church wedding with people sitting there wishing evil...it was great...we bought an ice cream to celebrate |

| I want a casual affair. Yes, I'd like to wear a nice dress, but something simple that I could wear again. And likely not even white. Only close friends and family. A friend can DJ with the music my partner and I have. Perhaps have a potluck, or have a BBQ catered (to make things simple). I don't want the focus to be on the pomp and circumstance of the ceremony, but rather I want the focus on the people close to me celebrating with me and having fun. |

| I am having a medium sized wedding. I want it by a lake in late afternoon. I want it to be very classy yet funny, we are going to break the ice by as he goes to kiss the bride we are going to throw up a sign in front of our faces that says censored, so even though it will be classy otherwise we are going to throw some funny stuff in it. I just want everyone to have a good time and walk away with a smile on their face. But what really matters to me is that I will spend the rest of my life with my love:)Weddings are a big deal because its the day you say in words, in front of everyone that means something to you, that you will always be committed to that person.you aren't weird for thinking that. People have different ways of showing their love forever, it is just engrained in a lot of peoples heads that a wedding is a way to do it! |

| No you're not weird to what what you want at all!! It's your day to do whatever you want!Personally, I can't wait to get married! I want a rather lavish wedding with an evening ceremony and a unity sand thing in black, white, and merlot red sand! I want my cake to be 4 tiered with merlot red edible roses dividing each cake layer and for the actual cake to be vanilla with edible black and white photos on each tier! I want the long catheral veil and a white puffy dress with a black sash! My bridesmaids will be in floor length merlot red dresses also with black sashes (the MOH will have a strapless dress and the rest of hte girls will have small straps) I want my shoes to be white and tie around the ankle with rhinestone circles from the toe band to the ankle band. The centerpeices will consist of white, red and black roses held in water in large vases. The boquet will be also of red, white and black roses. I want a church wedding and an indoor reception. The reception chairs will be covered in white with a black sash thing! The groom will be in a black suit with white shirt and complementary red colour tie. The groomsment will pretty much match the groom except will be wearing red shirts and black ties. I even know how I want the invitations set up and what I want htem to look like! I also have the music picked out for the ceremony and main peices of the reception. Ugh that pretty much sums up what I want in small detail! |
