I do not know much about photography, i was just taking a picture of my dog on a dark porch using the night mode of my digital camera and this strange flaw showed up. Is it caused by possible movement from my dog. The camera has never done that before and has not done it since but i have never seen such a flaw. Any ideas what could have caused it.No paranormal activities please i would like a rational explanationhttp://s266.photobucket.com/albums/ii277/shaylatillotson/?action=view¤t=Picture584.jpg.

Umm... Perhaps your doggie trickled a little bit of some yellow liquid that was caught in the flash before it hit the floor. Maybe.

to me, that looks like light, from a match or something...were there lightning bugs out? that seems like a rational explanation...but i have never had anything like that happen to me, so i dont know what to tell youEDIT::: I dont think it has anything to do with your camera because there is a reflection of the orange thing in your freezer(or whatever that white thing on the left is)...

It looks like you used flash for this shot and some of that light was bounced back at an odd angle.
