| My wedding is coming up in July, and I have been watching videos of couples who will surprise their guests with a choreographed, often silly dance for the first dance of the night.I would like to do something similar with my bridesmaids at some point during the dance (not the first song, of course). I want to do a song/dance that will make all the guests (and my fiance) laugh their butts off.Does anyone have any suggestions?Restrictions: one of my bridesmaids is in her late 30s, and one of them is 11. None of us are really talented dancers, although we do have experience with dancing and generally enjoy it (plus I'll be wearing a wedding dress), so, I need a song/dance that will be easy to learn and remember and not too technically or physically demanding.Thanks for your help! |

| Honestly, although those videos are hilarious, they're completely inappropriate for weddings. I can only imagine what grandma must've been thinking in the "Baby Got Back" video. Some things are just better left to the good people of YouTube. |

| what about some older country line dance. You could get a video of how to do it. You could also all excuse yourself right before the song is plaid, so you could all put on bandannas and cowboy hats. |

| It's Raining Men! That would be hysterical, and you could do a lot of hand motions and wouldn't have to move around over much. Would still be cute with the younger ones. |

| It's...Hammer Time! May I suggest "Can't Touch This"? Always good for a laugh! Every bride I've ever seen trying to do the Hammer dance in her gown is guaranteed laughs.If your wedding or family is conservative, I agree that this idea may sound better than it actually is. It is your wedding, but you don't want to make guests uncomfortable or leave a BAD memory.If you still want to go for it with an older song, you could break into an old Jackson 5 song...Like "Don't Stop ('Till You Get Enough)".A very young crowd? One couple on YouTube did a "Napoleon Dynamite" routine. I thought it would be cheesy, but it made me laugh!Have fun! |

| you have your pick:Vanilla Ice - "Ice Ice Baby" - you would karoake the song while your bridesmaids "free dance", with some: moonwalking, cabbage patch, the robot, centipede, etc....MC Hammer - "Can't Touch This" put the groom and groomsmen sitting in front of you and the bridesmaids while you dance a "no touching" type dance. y'kno, adding sum dances listed above.Have Fun...would love to see it on You Tube! |

| How about the hilarious dance routine to "Time After Time" that they did on Romy and Michele's High School Reunion? That dance sequence makes me crack up every single time, and I don't think the steps look that challenging. |

| Oh my, please keep it tasteful...no "big butts" dances. Your parents and relatives have been waiting for this day since you were born. And one of the girls is 11? Please! "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" ought to do it. Why not just play that song at some point during the reception, you and the bridesmaids can start by yourselves, then invite all the ladies up to join you? |
