I was going to sell my wedding dress and books and toys and my husband old DJ stuff and candle and DVD and CD's. We were gonna open up garage sale today. but my husband changes his mind about it. He think he is going to make 25 Dollar without trying to sell something. He give me a lot of stress with money problem. He is keep saying he is almost broke and He feels sad about it and I gave him an idea " why don't we open up the garage sales? make some money on it" He think he is going to make $25. He gave up on this. I want to show him how much do you make when you open up the garage sales then maybe he changes his mind about it.

I would have to say it is according to were you live. If the items you listed were sold around here then you would be looking at a few hundred dollars I would say. A friend of mine did one a couple of weeks ago. Just odds and ends from around the house she did not need. some baby clothes and stuff. She ended up makeing just over 500.00 in two days. A friday and Saturday sale.http://www.shesrighthesright.comAlso you might want to sell some of those items on Ebay.

First of all, a garage sale takes planning in advance. You can't just decide the day of to do it. You have to organize and price everything. As far as what you can make, just depends what you have to offer. Around here, if you have furniture items on the driveway, that brings 'em in! My husband and I used to have garage sales, and a couple of times we made $500-600. It totally can be done--just depends what you have to sell, and the more "big ticket" items you have the better. And baby stuff too. Good luck--its a lot of work but can be worth it for sure.

You can make money on Garage sales. Here are some tips.1. Price items a bit above what you really want to make. (folks are going to ask for lower price - be willing to give it to them - therefore a bit higher so you get price you want)2. Make sure items are displayed nicely3. Make sure items are dusted (meaning items are not dusty or dirty). You'd be amazed how much more you can get for cleaner newer looking items4. Be willing to make on the spot deals. Some folks may say, well if I buy 3 will you give me this price. Go with it. 5. Plan garage sales around most payday schedules (15th and 30th of the month).Another suggestion is to sell your items on e-bay if you're not willing to spend a day outside or in the garage selling your items. As far as money troubles. Start "FOCUSING" on "saving" and "having enough" vs. putting your energy into being broke. If you focus on the positive, your actions will start changing to the postiive to save. Only buy what is NEEDED vs. what you WANT.Good Luck to you.P.S. - I've made between $30 - $50 at Garage sales. I've known others

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
