Ok those who read my other question knows that my original wedding cake designers dropped out on me, and as a favor to a to the woman I was working with originally this cake designer took my commission to be honest though we are building our first house, and between this, work, and the other wedding plans I have already made I don't have the time to spare designing a cake with them. I am hoping to find a cake of hers I like and just showing her my color theme. As far as the wedding there is a bit of a nature theme but nothing major, so really anything goes. Here are some I have found, if you have any others of hers you like also please post. Otherwise which would you choose, keep in mind the design will be constant but ours will be about 3.5 ft tall and 4 layers not including anything on the top? (they are all gum paste flowers)1. http://www.brides.com/images/editorial/2005_modernbride/10_11_p141_calendarofcakes/00_main/009_primary.jpg2. http://www.theknot.com/ADVB_SW_WC.html3. http://www.cakechannel.com/images/Sylvia6.gif4. http://www.weddingbee.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/z92962803.jpg5. http://thebiobuilder3.com/BioBuilderPro/d/129702-2/cakechannel_com+weinstock.gifActually to clarify a quality fondant doesn't crumble or even taste bad. Its bakers that use cheaper fondants that have that reputation.Who gave everyone thumbs down? Thumbs up for everyone :)What I was trying to say, but not very well, is that i dont want a lot on top not only for looks but the fact that my husband is only 5'6 and I am 5'4 so with a 3.5 ft cake on a 3 foot table we are already going to be way overtowered by it, so 3.5 is already large enough (it was more for people with other Sylvia Weinstock cakes they might like other then the ones listed)

I like the 3-tier cake with roses from the Silvia Weinstock page (I think that was at the knot).I'm not real crazy about the flowers all over the place, but the one with the roses is very stylized and neat looking at least.

the only one I really like is the first link, the others are not pleasing to the eye. is that fondant or frosting? because i've heard fondant crumbles bad when it's cut and looks bad

I thought I loved #3 the best, but then I saw #4--that's just stunning. I hope it all goes well.

i like the first one and i think it was the 4th one, the pink and green one. both would be really pretty and they have a simpler feel to them that i think would go well with your nature theme.

I like the first one the best. I tend to like simpler things and it has cleaner lines.By not having anything on the top, do you mean you are not having flowers on the top, or is that a comment on the height of it? I think it would look much better without such a large gumpaste topper, something a little more streamlined.

my favorite is the 2nd cake on the one from the knot. the roses cascading are pretty and not too overwhelming. All the other cakes had high toppers and since you said you are both on the shorter side I would hesitate on the other cakes with huge tops with flowers etc. Good luck.

I like #1 and #4, I couldn't view #5 for some reason...I believe it must be on my end.
