I am in the wedding photographer business, and have recently purchased an entire photography kit with those 3 lenses. I like all of them, but obviously don't need all of them. I need to sell 1 or 2 of them but I am not sure which one(s). I am not knowledgeable enough about camera specifics to know which lenses would be best to keep. The 70-300 is the smallest and lightest. The 2.8 L is really sharp. The 4 L is lightweight and focuses quickly. Beside that...I can't tell the difference at all....yet, though I am sure as I continue to learn I will eventually know the difference. I just need to sell one soon in order to purchase a 50mm lens and another basic lens. You can see my work at www.noeyehasseen.comI am in the wedding photographer business, and have recently purchased an entire photography kit with those 3 lenses. All three lenses are Canon.Let me know if any of you are interesting in purchasing.Using a Canon 5D. Bought the "kit" on ebay for $4000...should have costed $9000 but I got a great deal. Came with the camera, 3 lenses, tripod, flash, CF cards, case, battery grip ad a bunch of other accessories.

The 70-200mm 2.8 is the best lens you named by far. Presuming that these are all lenses by a premium brand (not an off brand like Sigma) then they all can be compared equally. This lens has a much larger aperture than the others, and will be twice as fast as the 70-200 4 and three times or more than the other one. Since you're going to be shooting indoors, I presume, this will be incredibly valuable. This means that you could use a 1/60 without flash, where you would have to use maybe a 1/15 shutter speed with the other one. Also, since you're going to be right up close to the action, I doubt that you will need 300mm anytime during that wedding, unless you want a close-up of the brides eyeball or something.

Your photos are taken indoor--I'd keep the 2.8 one. (It isn't the IS one, is it?)I am sure you already realize that the 70-300 mm is nothing like the L ones. How about the 24-70 mm f 2.8 lens? It works great indoor, too. You didn't state what camera you are using.

Anybody who tells you to keep anything but the 70-200 f2.8L probably doesn't know much about photography and the type of shots you will be doing as a wedding photographer. It would also be helpful (in determining resell price) to know for sure if these are the IS versions or not. I'll assume not.The 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 is the Diffractive Optic lens right? (It should have a green band near the end of the lens.) You should be able to sell that lens for at least $900. This is more than enough to get a 50mm f/1.4 USM. There is also the 50mm f/1.2L, but that costs considerably more and honestly, there are other lenses that I would recommend before getting the 1.2L, but if you've got the money... go for it. Both the 1.2L and 1.4 are really sharp and perform well in low light. The 70-200mm f/4L is probably the cheapest, especially if it is not the IS version. You can try and sell it for $450. As a wedding photographer, you'll want the 24-70mm f/2.8L USM. So my suggestion is to keep the 70-200 f/2.8L and sell the other two. Buy a 24-70mm f/2.8L and the 50mm f/1.4.

Faster is better, so keep the EF 70-200mm 2.8L and sell the other two.Where did you manage to buy all three in a kit? Beautiful photography btw!
