Is it too unimaginaitive to wear white shirts n dark suits to work (I am a banker)....I have a bit of a tan now that the weather is cooler over here and I think white shirts against a tan, especially with the sleeves rolled up, look pretty good. Coloured shirts don't seem to have the same effect.

I work for a Fortune 100 company and the white shirt/blue business suit look has been retired. I'm shocked when I'm in the corporate headquarters because my "proper" company is really all about business casual. Maybe you can propose a change to align with what all the other "big" players are doing.

White shirts in a banking environment are perfect - not sure I approve of the rolled up sleeves though - better with a french cuff and a nice pair of cufflinks. You need to look approachable- especially if you are in public banking - but smart and professional - you'll get much more respect that way.
