limo driver, caterer and waiters (if you have them) dj gets paid and so does videographer and photographer, so no need to tip extra.

I have photographed wedding and never received a tip yet. When I got married we did try to tip the band but they refused. I gather we pay enough up front, but if the service was excellent it is nice to do. The photographer is happy if you make a nice print order.

You should tip just about everyone but make sure to read your contracts carefully because they may have already added gratuity.

"dj gets paid and so does videographer and photographer, so no need to tip extra."Wrong. With the exception of the wait staff, anyone who does the minimum required shouldn't get a tip but anyone who goes above and beyond should be tipped. Is the dj spending his home time to download a huge and odd play list or are you bringing a CD to keep the costs down? Was the photographer quick efficient, keeping you smiling, getting your BP and Family in to CH quickly while still getting all the photos? Did he indeed get all the photos you wanted. Be clear. One of my brides was unhappy because she wanted a picture of every single person at the wedding but didn't get one because she just asked for some poses with the family and the rest photo journalistic style. Did they go through the effort of photo shopping the beer bottles out of your shots? Again they're getting paid yes but if they do more than their job not to be appreciated for it is wrong.

You tip basically all those vendors who helped pull off your big day - including photographer, florist, dj, caterer, etc.

Hi. I would not tip ANY of the above. The only people I think you need to tip would be a hairdresser. All of the above people (even the officiant, I assume), have a set fee that you are paying them. As for any service you are paying for, you do not need to tip. If someone happens to go out of their way, and/or do something extraordinary, possibly you can tip them. But as a rule, you are already paying them for their service. I have hosted two weddings and never tipped anyone other than the hairdresser!

Tips should all be merit-based. If the DJ was exceptional, give him a large tip, if the photographer was so-so, a smaller tip. If their services were just horrible, then forgo a tip altogether. If all of the vendors you listed did a good job, then they all should receive a tip.
