I am fine with that. I do not want an engagement ring. I want the marriage, marriage band and that is it.Wedding is only the beginning and engagement well in my opinion a heap of nothing

OK, in my all out honest opinion: NO. If you propose with the wedding band, what are you going to exchange during the ceremony? It would look pretty stupid if she gives you a ring during the ceremony and you don't give her one in return. I have seen engerement rings that looked like wedding bands (not at all my taste) but there was still an additional wedding band. I'm with the other girls, and I'm pretty sure your girlfriend will agree with us, even if you have to get her a $0.25 ring from the gum ball machine to signify your engagement, get it.

I wear my engagement ring as my only ring - but it has great presence. Talk to your girl and see what she thinks; she's the one whose opinion matters.
