I am looking at wedding dresses and am not keen on spending a fortune, this leaves me online as a huge option although i will go and try dresses on to see what suits me etc and what i like. i am scared i will fall in love with one in a shop that is way above my budget though :)but really anythong out a shop unless its megaly on sale is too much for me to spend, i dont even like dresses. cant i get married in white jeans Smilei really would prefer jeans ;)but i know my man would love me to wear a dress so i am going to. and will probably go for somehting gold/light gold/they call it champaigne i think. im a very dress down person. Very Happy

go to a store and try some on. get a feel for the brands and what size you run in them. wedding dresses run much differently than your everyday clothing sizes... there is nothing wrong with ordering one online... just know your wedding dress size first! hey, its your wedding, wear white jeans if you want! if someone doesnt like it, then tell them to pay for the overpriced wear once in your life wedding gown!!

yes i would if it was a reputable site. i know that netbride.com is a very good site, my sister in law used it. if you want to look for cheap dresses, david's bridal is really affordable and they have those $99 sales all the time! or shoot, if you want jeans, wear jeans! seriously, i think everyone should just do what they want. i despise heels so i wore flip flops because that's what i wanted :-)best wishes

Even if you get a dress on line and it doesnt fit when you get it you could always get it altered

I dont no if you are in the UK but if you are I know that additions direct... (the shopping catalogue) sell wedding gowns now which are quite pretty and not to expensive which means you could even pay it off over time if you wanted to...... That way you could try it on and return it if you dont like it or if it doesnt fit.......... Shopping online can be a gamble especially if you cant return it or if it will cost you a fortune to do so Smile (some people sell wedding dresses on ebay made to measure that arent very expensive)

I would. I mean find something you like in the store and check up online you will definately find it cheaper. I found a dress in the stores for $ 200 CA and I got it for $70 US. Awesome deals. and plus you already know your size from after trying it on . ... hope you find something nice. And if its a wedding dress congratulations ( :

I would consider buying online. However you can't try it on at all so how will you know it will fit unless you order one to your measurements. My friend did this, she got her dress and two bridesmaid dresses online made to order at about £300 for them all. Her dress was lovely and fitted like a dream and the bridesmaids dresses were great too. I don't know where she got them from, all i know is it was on ebay. They turned up ontime and were great. If you do buy online, just make sure the company is reputable and they will deliver on time. Have a great wedding!

yes, I would - but I think you are wise to try it on in person first & be sure of the dress. And I would buy from a reputable dealer - order way early - and make sure I had time to have it altered if needed, etc. I have had friends get their dresses recently off Chinese sites. One's came and it was perfect & fit like a glove. The other's as way too small, and required major rework and basically had to almost be reconstructed. Luckily she had ordered it though a friend who was a seamstress who did this as part of the ordering and all. So, of my 2 friends - they're at 50% on the deal...

I wouldn't buy one online, just because you don't have any idea how the dress is going to look on you. Not to mention, you won't be able to tell the quality of the material and stitching. I would try a place like David's Bridal. They have dresses that aren't overly expensive.

Yes I would but make sure that you have your exact measurements and compare them to the sites measuring charts to get a good fit.
